As the title says, the true heart of the home is the family living within its walls. The love it showers on its members young, old & the in-between is what helps it grow, weather tough times, cross the oceans – all the while crafting beautiful memories. And what better place to create some fabulous memories than at everyone’s favourite photoshoot spot– Cornwall Park, with a family I enjoy photographing for.

With the twins – yes baby D & F are here finally (one of my earlier blogs on the website celebrates their baby shower, oh well how time flies!) & so are their darling grandparents who flew all the way Colombia, it was but expected that a delightful photo-session would soon follow. As the lens of Forevapix unfolded, it was delightful to see how each individual family member makes it what it is, enabling the team to capture on camera the true essence of what means to be FAMILY! And I’ll say it again, it was indeed a privilege to visually document with my camera this unique moment in time.

With three generation of the Colombian family in tow, it was wonderful to see how the family was growing, whilst each generation brought to the forefront – literally the fore of each photo the uniqueness that was themselves. The grandparents brought to the picture their wisdom, the parents their joy & the children their vivacious energy & love for Spiderman of course, if the pictures aren’t testament enough. Did I already mention that the children G & T love spiderman? Also, everyone was colour-coordinated if not superhero coordinated. Did I already mention… hahaha, I think you get the drift, they love their superheroes.

The outing was made even more memorable, with what a typically quintessential Kiwi summery afternoon entails – a barbeque of course! Or rather let me simplify it – one of the most Aucklander things you can do with even the littlest of the summery sun. The little ones (even the big ones became little ones!) jumped and pranced around enabling me to capture the true essence of the photography session – that is the joy of FAMILY & what it means to be FAMILY & a loving part of it, at that.

The stony climbable walls of Cornwall Park – a green gem in the heart of Auckland, provided an apt spot for the family to come together & click some awesome pictures together. The seniors recreated their dating days a la the typical ‘catching a glimpse of each other behind the tree’. Well, it was one of the sweetest pictures I’ve captured yet – seeing love age beautifully like fine wine, a testament to – through good times & bad, to ageing gracefully with time - to forever!

Their Grandpa played pranks on the little ones not minding the shutter going click, click, either.

The 3-monthers who have just started to roll had their first official photoshoot too! Their chubbiness & curiosity added to the already cute photo session.

​I’m sure Cornwall Park & New Zealand as such will bring awesome memories back to our visitors from Colombia who will be saying adios to our shores soon. Within its stony walls, rolling green & lush gardens & age-old trees, it will hold the delightful memories of this photoshoot.
